Owing to the Excessive Heat Warning, this event will not take place on July 6.
Come through the Land-Based Jawns Block Party! Bring ya fam, bring ya kids, bring ya neighbors – this event is free and open to everyone. LBJ will host mini versions of our skillshare workshops including what’s in your go/grow bag, DIY bug spray, how to pitch a tent, edible wild plants, carpentry, meditation, and a self-defense Q&A.
The way we heal, get free, and stay safe is together so come through to skill build with us. It’s still “stay ready so you ain’t gotta get ready” but with love and good vibes.

The block party where we hone in on many of the skills and lessons highlighted in Octavia Butler’s books is just days away! We heal, thrive, and stay safe is together so come through to skill build with us. It’s still “stay ready so you ain’t gotta get ready” but with love and good vibes.
Be outside with us as we learn about safety & self-defense, gardening, carpentry, and herbalism from a variety of educators. This land-based living experience is free and for anyone who wants to start their journey in developing the skills highlighted in Octavia Butler’s Parables. You’ll also have opportunities to learn about our upcoming Earthseed Skillshare and how to apply. It’s gonna be a family and fun-filled day
