SWWAG: The Southwest and West Philadelphia Area Growers Network

Formalized in 2018, SWWAG represents a coalition of local farmers and growers, led collaboratively by the Urban Tree Connectionthe Philadelphia Orchard Project, Sankofa Community Farm at Bartram’s Garden, and the Garden at CHOP Karabots.

We work with a wide range of neighborhood and citywide partners to enhance and expand our community’s access to land, healthy food, and ancestral and intergenerational wisdom. We believe in building sovereign and local food systems that utilize regenerative farming practices, promote neighborhood leadership, and uplift people of color of all ages.
